Every file lives on your device and can be fully edited offline. The apps share one way of working: the same terms, the same shortcuts, the same command search.
Seven apps, 1,866 automated tests, no required account. What works with which format is documented openly in the format matrix.
Apps exchange data through small, versioned formats. One app publishes a range as a dataset; others link to it and refresh when you decide.
Optional, with your own Anthropic key kept in the keychain. The AI never edits on its own: it proposes changes with sources, and you accept or reject them. Everything can be undone. No Balane server in between.
Everything saves automatically to your device. The save state is always visible.
Every app ships an MCP server. Claude Code and Claude Desktop read and edit files through checked tools – with path protection, versions and a change log.
