Mail is an email client for IMAP and SMTP. Messages are stored locally and readable offline; sorting happens on the device, not on someone else’s server.
What the app does today
Accounts and sync
- Any number of accounts, set up with address and password
- Automatic detection of server settings
- New mail right away via IDLE, offline queue
Inbox
- One inbox for all accounts, sorted locally into personal, notifications and newsletters
- Screen new senders, then allow or block them
- Pin, remind me later, conversations
- Full-text search with operators such as from:, subject: or has:attachment
Reading and writing
- HTML without scripts, external images and tracking pixels blocked
- Undo send, send later
- Single-key shortcuts and command search
- Laid out like a mail app: glass sidebar, dense list, calm reading view
On iPhone and iPad
The adaptation for iPhone and iPad is in progress.

How it connects
- Attaches Balane documents straight to messages.
- Optional AI with your own key: summarise, draft a reply, pull out tasks – only as suggestions.

Not finished software: expect bugs and changes to the file format. Please don’t keep important data only in the apps, and back up regularly.
